What happens at each stage
You learn about PINE Global's EcoBiz & Tech programme and whether it fits where your venture is right now. What you receive: Programme information and answers to common questions. Your responsibility: Research the programme before applying. Decision point: Whether to apply.
You submit your interest through the Apply page for the 8th Cohort of EcoBiz & Tech, running August–October 2026. What you receive: Confirmation that your application has been received. Your responsibility: Provide accurate, complete information about your venture. Decision point: None yet — this stage is about getting your application in front of the screening team.
Your application is reviewed against programme eligibility and readiness criteria. What you receive: A screening decision, either way. Your responsibility: Respond promptly if the team follows up for more detail. Decision point: PINE Global decides whether you're shortlisted for the next cohort.
Shortlisted founders are confirmed into the next cohort alongside others at a similar stage. What you receive: Cohort placement confirmation. Your responsibility: Confirm your availability for the cohort's training and mentoring schedule. Decision point: You confirm your place in the cohort.
You join structured EcoBiz & Tech curriculum modules covering all-round business fundamentals alongside enterprise-readiness and funding-access training. What you receive: Structured training sessions and learning materials. Your responsibility: Attend sessions and engage with the curriculum. Decision point: None — this is a core delivery stage of the programme.
You're paired with an experienced mentor for ongoing 1:1 and structured group guidance. What you receive: A mentor relationship for the length of the cohort — many continue informally afterward. Your responsibility: Come prepared to mentoring sessions and act on the guidance you're given. Decision point: None — mentoring runs throughout the cohort.
You test and refine your business model, pricing, and go-to-market approach with mentor and trainer input. What you receive: Structured feedback on your business plan. Your responsibility: Act on feedback and validate your assumptions before pitch day. Decision point: Whether your venture is ready to pitch.
You present your venture to a panel of partners and investors at pitch day. What you receive: A pitch day session and direct feedback from the panel. Your responsibility: Prepare and deliver your pitch. Decision point: The panel's feedback and any expressed interest in your venture.
You move from the structured cohort into independently operating your venture. What you receive: A validated business plan and pitch deck to carry forward. Your responsibility: Take the lead on running and growing your venture. Decision point: How you choose to take the venture forward is now yours to decide.
PINE Global facilitates introductions to funding and investment pathways connected through its partner network. What you receive: Introductions to funding and investment contacts. Your responsibility: Pursue the introductions that are the right fit for your venture. Decision point: Which funding pathways to pursue.
You join the wider PINE Global community of founders, mentors, and trainers. What you receive: Ongoing community and mentor relationships that continue past your cohort. Your responsibility: Stay engaged with the community, and consider mentoring future cohorts yourself. Decision point: How involved you want to stay with the PINE community going forward.
